Founded in 1962, Camp Summit has been owned and operated by the Stern family for almost 30 years. Mel and Judy Stern started the tradition, and today their son, David, continues to make Summit the same loving place he remembers when he was a camper himself.
|
David arrived at Camp Summit when he was 11 years old. Almost three decades later, his passion for camp continues to grow. Graduating from the University of Maryland in 1989, David earned a degree in Family Management and Child Development. The level of energy he possesses coupled with his ability to institute innovative programs, leads Camp Summit to new heights in camping.

 The
Camp Summit family extends well beyond the Stern family. Our
entire staff is at the heart of the Summit experience. A great deal
of time and training goes into building "Team Summit." We
recruit camp counselors and specialty staff from colleges and universities
throughout the States. Team Summit’s number one goal is the happiness
and safety of your children.

Bunk Counselors live with and supervise our campers
24/7! Out on the ball field, at the dining hall and in the bunk, these
counselors are a constant part of your child’s experience at
camp.

The Camp Summit Activity Specialists instruct campers
in areas of expertise, such as waterfront, tennis, dramatic and creative
arts, and outdoor adventure. Many of these talented staff members
are specially trained or serve as coaches during the school year.
We’re proud of our staff. Their enthusiasm, creativity
and expertise bring out the best in our campers. TEAM SUMMIT is a large
